We need to know what motherboard you are talking about. Does it even have FSB adjustments?

Well, considering no socket 473 had a 533MHz FSB, that could be why.

Keep in mind the difference between running at 533, and supporting 533. If something is supported, it WILL run at that speed, and if it doesn't, you can return it.

All socket 423 processors are only 100FSB. Not only that, but the chipset probably is too. I had a 1.5ghz socket 423. My overclocking skill was not the greatest at that time, but I remember that I couldn't get it stable, maybe 1.6ghz was stable, but 1.7ghz would keep restarting. Remember, you can't put the multiplier down from 15, so 133x15 would be 2ghz, and that is the highest model they even made. Simply put, overclocking any socket 423 would be in vein.

If you want better performance, you need to just buy an all around faster system. High speed socket 423 processors can be sold for a lot of money, so you might be able to break even and upgrade if you put some effort into it.

I'm looking forward to buy the PowerLeap 423 to 478 Adapter.

But i can't put 533mhz FSB processors on my MOBO, only 400FSB, that's why i'm looking for some method to make it support 533Mhz, and put at least a 3.06Ghz cpu with 533Mhz FSB.

Any chance ?
