Hi,

with stock cooling and stock speeds, how hot should a socket 754 2800 newcastle be running?

at the moment mine is running just above stock speeds (2ghz) and is at around 50-55C when at full load and 45C at idle

cheers

So we are talking about an 89 Watts CPU with stock cooling?
Well then this seems about right.
If you bumb up the vocre you are going to have on hot CPU on your hands with that heatsink however

In my sig are my clocks.

I use a probe which reads 2° higher than onboard sensors. Right now I am 27.7°C room temp/ Idle (surfing the net) 35.5°C and during gaming(also benching/Prime), I get around 46.x - 48.x°C or so. No voltage bumps on the core.
