do high northbridge temp cause a high cpu temp?

i noticed as my cpu temp rises(this is in idle not load) the northbridge temp rises as well. does a high northbridge temp cause a higher cpu temp or is a high cpu temp that causes the northbridge temp to rise?

Not directly, but a higher temp in northbridge/cpu can cause a higher ambient temperature inside the case. So they do react to eachother.
