NF3 250gb sound problem

Im using the onboard sound on my NF3 250gb and seem to have a problem with getting the mic to work. Sound and everything works fine but for some reason the mic will not work. Ive tried all the jacks excpet for line in/out and still no luck and the mic does work so I know that its not the problem.

Anyone have any ideas about what it could be?

I know this may sound stupid, but did you make sure you didn't have it muted in Windows? And make sure it's selected as the input device.

Other than that, I never use onboard sound anymore. They work alright sometimes, but they are fairly cheap.

ill try that. Do I set it as "input device" in the nv mixer?

Yes. But never using it, you might have to set it in the Windows sound control. I'd doubt it though.
