The DFI is a good choice. There are many others with nf3 ultra chips as well as with VIA chips. The nf3's are better overclockers, but they are quirky. This seems to even include the new dfi board. Epox makes an inexpensive nf3 board that overclocks well.
This is the one I recently bought, so far I have not tried to push it. I also went through the same thinking. I wanted a socket 939 board with AGP because I was not interested in upgrading my vidcard at this time.
