Lack of power to HDD's.

I think my PSU is slowly failing, and now my computer can't recognize Windows on my Raptor nor can it recognize my other SATA drive. I feel the drives spinning, albeit not as noisily as before. Is it possible for the power supply to not supply enough power, and therefore the drives are not functioning as they should? I hope what I said was clear...

I'm in the process of buying a real power supply, so I should know the result in a few days. If that doesn't work, I'll RMA the motherboard. Thanks for the replies.

Uh... Drec...? What do you mean? What will go "bang?" The HDD's? No... I think they're quite safe.

Oh, right. Well, I won't be using that one anymore, so no worries.

Well, I guess what I'm wondering is this; could this problem be caused by a bad motherboard or strictly by a failing PSU?

If there was bad power you'd probably hear the drive spinning up and down as the power fluctuates..

Yeah... I did notice that my Raptor didn't whirl as fiercely as it did.
