hi,
Due to lack of FPs in new games i have to change my Ti 4600.
on the web I found Ati Radeon 9600 pro fits my needs, but on the market i got lots of 9600 pro, PowerColor, Ati brand, and Asus brand, and some fake ones,
rejecting the fake ones , PowerColor mem clock is 400, where ati is 600, so i geuss Powercolors are a little slower.
so i've to choose between asus and ati , are they same or not? which one do you prefer?
Can you help me?
thanks for any help

another thing:
i own a P4P800 mobo and the manual says for ati radeon 9700 pro and 9500 make sure to use the card version PN xxx-xxxxx-30 or later for optimum performance and o.c. stability. i just want to know does this apply to 9600 pro or not?
With this suggestion i geuss i'd better be choosing the Asus brand, maybe they use that version on their stuff.

Personally I'd go with ATi. Im not sure of ASUS, but ATi comes with a 3yr warranty. And I'd go with an XT instead of the Pro, Its not much more. And you dont have to worry about the version for the 9600/9800s.

I don't think you see too much of a difference between your ti4600 and a 9600pro. Only thing would the the dx9 support. If possible I would try to make a bigger jump like to a 9800pro or 6600nu or gt.

I dont mean to go off topic, but is a 6600NU the same as a 6600 vanilla?
