comp reboots in game

ok my wifes comp is a gateway e4600
p4 1.8 512 ram and a inno3d 5900xt

why my son plays ac the grafics are very laggy and or the comp will reboot its self. i have run a mem test and it past. so i called gateway and they said i had a 250 watt ps. do you guys think that my prob is the ps or a hard ware prob?

It might be the power supply. Try unplugging some stuff that is not needed then play the game and see if it still reboots.

seems like you nailed it, I would guess it is the psu, and unplugg stuff like he said.

I would suggest you check the GFX cards fan, the GPU could be overheating...i had similiar problems when the fan on my ati died.

i have pulled every thing out that was not needed modum and a fire wire card. i also did a reformat it does not reboot any more butit still runs slow in high texed areas. if you know ac (asherons call) and been to the caul pit you know what i am talking about. i ran 3dmark01 and it scroed 9588.
