did I just kill my mobo?

I did not run power through it yet but look, its glued on, I missed 1 step where I put something between it, I just need to know if I can leave it like this and it will work.

Just leave bare metal on the back of your MB. You may not have put power on it yet but the second you do it is all over.

Is ANY metal from the bracket touching ANY metal on the motherboard? Check and be sure. You might have to soak the motherboard in a bath of alcohol and let the adhesive break apart and then dry the motherboard for a week or two.
