Question how to make dsl faster?

is there anyway to make sbc dsl fasteR? i just got mine today! apparently i only go at 1.6!! which makes me mad because i suppose to get 1.5-3.0, but i at least want 2.5+ or mayb even 2.0! here my test from dsl report. is there any problem to speed up my dsl or tweaks? but i heard the speed kicks in when u leave ur modem on for 10 days. so ill wait but i still want some tweaks!

You cannot make the internet "faster".
Doing so would be illegal.

Your ISP provides your bandwidth. You recieve it and thats it. There is no hacks or tweaks.
