Here @ my work, they have a drawing each month I think.

If you are drawn, you are able to purchase one of the many outgoing
computers from here. For a price of $75.oo USD.

Everything intact, just a wiped HDD. OS is the only thin needed.

I believe the older 866mhz ones are finally gone & now they are working
on getting rid of the "black" ones.

I "think" the black ones refer to the 2.4 P4's with a gig of ram in them.

I figured I would mention this, if any of you are "near" by maybe we could figure something out.

No guarentee of what box can be bought, but it is a computer for $75.00.

A lot better that some of the pc's, that peeps around here have.

I am checking into what box's (black or tan) are coming up to be ... tossed.

Think I'll put in for the next round & see if I get drawn.

The way it works here is that when attorney's get new comps, theirs get moved down the line. I think we have 4 generations still in use. One person is still on a p 233mmx based HP. The attorney's all have laptops now, so I dont know what they will do when they want new ones. I know they wont hand the old ones down.

These pc's are in place & used until they are replaced

So it is possible to have your "own" pc until the IT dept deems it is time to replace it.

I'd really like to find out what the "black" box pc is around here.

Oh, BTW guys, I'm in Arizona.

BAH !!!!!!!!

I found the form for the drawing.... not good.

reading the fine print:
An employee is eligible for a computer system once every two (2) years.

I can maybe put in 4 requests, under various peoples names & have them purchase them for me.

so.... I guess never mind.

:bang head

Sounds like the way they're doing things is pretty stupid to me....
