i have a dLink 802.11G MIMO Pre-N and fibre optic internet
they had to allow my MAC, so i called and told them it.
it still doesn't work.
when configuring it, it seems to configure right.
i have the cables right, but it seems the router never connects to the internet.
the isp tech support won't help me
is there anything i should know about?
any ideas?

i can ping the router, so i think it's connected right

Can you ping through the router? try pinging google.com If that does not work then try pinging 216.239.57.99 (googles ip address) If you cannot ping the name but can ping the IP address then theres something wrong with the way you have you DNS set up
