Antec VGA cooler

I got Antec's VGA cooler fan thingy, and I've got a couple of questions about this thing...

I picked it up to aid in cooling my 6800GT, but I'm not sure if I have it installed correctly. What I mean is, I don't know which way the unit's cooling fan is supposed to face. The stock fan on the card faces downward, and at first I put the cooler's fan in to blow toward the card, but it didn't seem to help, so I turned it over to blow away from the card. I get the same results. The VGA fan, regardless of orientation and without its extension, is right in line with the 68's fan. I wanted to try to use the extension duct, but there is a plastic clip that touches one of the PCI slots, and so it won't mount exactly straight if I use it, but I still could. Should I use the extension? The cooler has what seems to be an air intake (outtake?) opposite the fan, and an air vent on the back of the unit by the controller switch. I'm also not sure... Is the 68's fan actually blowing on the gpu, or blowing warm air off of it?

Please help

how does that card work. If it pulls in air from the outside, you would want it to vent towards the card so that the card has a fresh source of cooler air. If it pulls it out, like a normal slot fan card, I would place it as high as possible to pull hot air out.

If by 'card', you are talking about the VGA cooler, I think it is pulling air in. But I had been wondering if the 6800's fan was blowing onto or away from the gpu, and if it was blowing air off of the card, then wouldn't the cooler fan blowing onto the gpu create a conflict, or turbulence? I'm so confused...
