Ok I HAVE read the other Chaintech post but I am a little slow here.
Gimme a pile o' parts and I can make a computer.
Gimme a pile o' fans and I can cool a "house" LOL

Gimme a sound card and I am LOST

I have an ASUS P4P800 MB
TV Card with speaker out going into LINE IN on the Chaintech
The BLACK output is going into a 1/8" to RCA Monster Cable converter. That goes into my NAD receiver.

Let me preface by saying that I FIRST installed the latest VIA Envy24 HT-S drivers. I then did some reading and realized that I should have installed 3.5.B??? drivers. I uninstalled the Via drivers and re-installed the the 3.5B?? something drivers.

Now for the problems...........

1) When watching TV.... I can only use standard 2 channel and have to MANUALLY select LINE IN as the source. If I select 2 channel HIGH.... I get no sound and have to reboot.

2)Upon rebooting I cannot hear sound from TV. I have to go BACK into the control panel and select standard 2 channel AND line in AGAIN. WHY?

3)It will NOT remember the LINE IN setting at all. :bang head

4)Normal Windows sounds, MP3, MPEG, etc all sound fine.

5) The only problem I really have with this card it the TV

Ideas and help please. Need more info? Please ask.
