How to make an upload site.

I have 2 perfectly good websites here. Http://kevincat.no-ip.org and http://2142lanserver.no-ip.org I was wonderign how can i make another one where users can upload their pictures,configs, and other files they want hosted. Most of them dont know how to use FTP so thets kinda out of the question.

Looking...hard to find a good one but ill keep looiking. I want something simple kinda like what photobucket uses.

Which ones have you tried? A long time ago I tried a few and found one that was decent but I can not remember which one it was.

Make your own using php. That's the best way to do it.

The problem with this type of site is security.

Someone could upload malicious scripts, etc, and execute them remotly (even full fledged viruses).

I would limit it to images only.

Well ok then Videos and images. Now if only i can find a script. Most are hard to use for the average ahha.

I still stand by making your own

What language are you looking at for the script? php? asp? cgi?

Search for free scripts. You can probably find one that will restrict all but certain file types
