How to shut down Windows Media playing DVD's

Hello,

I use Win DVD to play DVD's but the crazy Windows media player 9.0 keeps loading automatically.

I have unchecked the DVD file association for Win media but the next time I start up it starts again.

Is there a way to permanently disable the DVD file association?

Go to control panel/folder options/file type/ highlight DVD video and hit advance. Change the program to Win DVD.
