Onboard audio can't support surround and microphone.

I've an Asus K8V SE Deluxe and all my jacks are taken up by my 5.1 surround... is there any way to connect both the system and microphone? And I apologize for posting this in the motherboard section as well, but I would really like to get the problem solved.

Does you case have a mic out on it? If so you could try using the internal mic header on the motherboard..

Don't know if that will work for sure though.

Yeah...! YES! It DOES have one... the problem is, I can't seem to find the connector. I guess I'll go look at the motherboard manual. Thanks, lowfat!

even if it had one it wouldnt work. if i remember correctly in sound option u have to change the mic port to output so u can have ur sub or wot eva speaker connected to it.
