Radeon X700 retarded!

My screen blackouts out for a second or two everytime i use the scroll feature on the mouse.. up or down. Only when I do this does it blackout for a second. I have an radeon x700. Any Ideas???

what drivers are you using? i recommend getting the latest (cat 5.8)

i have noticed that when i dont have vid drivers (right after i do a fresh windows install) my scrolling is jumpy... try that
