Zalman Super Flower

Does anyone have any opinions/comments about the Zalman Super Flower?

I'm looking for something quiet, if not silent.

Thanks & Regards, Pedro

Do you mean the cnps7000 series? From what I can tell its callled 'super flower' in the UK. It was a great cooler in its day, but there are better options available now days. What socket are you going to be using?

if its the 7000 series. they are pretty good but like vulcan said. there are better choices. personally i will recommend thermalright, depending on your socket you can get an excellent cooler from them.

but if you do go with the zalman, the 7700 zalman had some nice bling bling, i had the 7000 and the 7700 before, and the 7000 had the 80mm fan in the center and the 7700 had the 120mm fan in the center, and they weigh a bit, so watch out with moving them especially the 7700.

Yeah. The 7000 is a great cooler. I'm still using one for the moment. I got temps comparable to what people get using XP-120s after I changed the stock fan to a 120mm fan. When I (re)build the system in my sig this weekend I will be using a Frezer 64 though.

As of late, TR has been making bad bases and the likes. Not sure what's up...

I'm a zalman person, so I say, yes they are badass heatsinks

yes they are bad-ass, when i brought my rig to the lan with the zalman 7700, i got lots of looks and OMG's b/c of its size.....

so in that rememberance, it would be a tough decision probably between the XP-120 and the zalman 7700 for me right now.

I'm going to be cooling an AMD Athlon XP 2800. Or Maybe a Duron, it depends if my friend can hook me up with a discount Athlon. What I need is something that's quiet and small (Less than 3.25" in height).
