I have the Compaq Presario R4000 with the ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. It's pretty much a worthless chipset. I've been told by countless individuals that it can't be upgraded due to it being integrated. After an investment of over $1000 into this notebook including minor upgrades, I didn't stop looking. I came across the following thread:

Is it possible to open the notebook, and insert a more suitable mobile graphics card? The following page includes the specs of the notebook:
