No one can really tell. That's pretty much up to the mobo manufacturers. There are still new 939 boards being brought to market. The ULI 1695 boards have just started to appear and the ATI Crossfire chip was just relaesed late in September. The 939 still has a bit of life left in it.
In my opinion if M2 comes out early next year, all we'll get is no new revisions just new mobo released that cost less to make and sell, like it happened to socket A when the Athlon 64 come along.
