I dont play WoW, but I have seen some videos of so called ninja looting.

you cant tell what is going on onscreen but the people get really ****y when it happens.

What is going on in there?

People are sneaking over to the loot and taking it without helping the group, or taking someone else's loot.

You would have to play the game to understand how it's done.

It can be *very* bad to ninja loot something that is extremely good. Such as, say you ninja looted a very rare item, your whole server would know and you would have a hard time getting into another party ever again.

Ninja looters = scum of WoW.

The term is losely used. But the jist of it is you steal something. certain valuable items in the game are bound only to you if you pick them up. So you cannot give them away or sell to another player. If they drop eveyone in your group should pass on the games auto roll feature and then do a manual roll for it if the item fits their class. If during that brief time after everyone passed and before the manual rolling is done, you sneak in and take the item, you have ninja'd it. In fact stole it without winning the roll.

How it works is in Wow Items get some items, mainly the high uality items get bound to your character so you cant give them to other caharcters, once the item is yours, its YOURS.

when doing a dungeon and getting loot that gets bound to the persron who recieves it, most guilds and groups disscuss who could benefit from the item the most and ether give it to that person or have the most eligible people roll for the item.

Ninjaing is while the rest of the party is discussing somebody who either is not in the running or didnt win the loot runs in and grabs the item so it is permanently bound to there character. so esstentially Ninjaing is stealing an important item right from under the nose of everyone else

people who ninja loot get know server wide generaly depending on the quality of loot they ninjaed and quite often have troube ever getting into a group again

Ninja looting is usually someone takes something that is for another class like a mage rolling for priest pants, etc. or in MC/Onyxia you see some videos with the ninja looter just taking everything hence why most guilds use masterlooter.

Gotta argue on you with on this one, most guilds use DKP rather than an honor system or just random for items. It works very well. But than again, that's only for MC, BWL and Onyxia.
