Hiya,
Im having trouble getting my other PC to use D3D acceleration.
Its running win2k with SP2, and an I740.
in dxdiag it's reporting that d3d acceleration is not available..
Ive tried getting new drivers for it and I have als ore-installed the tdefault win2k drivers but it wont work!

I really need to get it working so can frag the daylights outta the Mrs. in Counter -strike.:D

Its specs are.
cel 366@366
A-Bit BH6
196mb Ram
6.4gig Quantum
Sb Live!

I know the video card is S**t, but its better than the 1mb pci thing that was just in there.

any ideas guys?

do you have hardware acceleration turned on?

go into control panel, system, performance tab. then click on the graphics button at bottom. if the hardware acceleration is off, no direct3d.

if that doesnt work, let me know.

hi, I tried what you said, but I dont get those options.
I can get to CP, system, but then I dont have a performance tab.
I can find the Slider bar that gives different levels of hardware acceleration, Its in display settings--->advanced.
It was set to maximum acceleration and it still doesnt work.
