FFXI Benchmark

found it while searching for a new benchmark for us over at www.cryolaboratory.com

man, is the high res test a BEAST.

it doesn't write a file or anything, so you have to watch the little counter in the bottom right for about 5 minutes or so until it fades out at your final score. Probably would need a screen-cap of it or something if you wanted to make it official.

Here are my scores:

run at least 2 tests (in 1024x768x32 to match me)

Benchmark, Low
Benchmark, High

Low: 6509
High: 4565

anything over 4000 is considered "Incredibly Tough"

A score over 7,000 is considered "Impossible to Bench"

Oh yeah... Did this at stock settings with F@H going 100% and 4 torrentz downloadin' (gotta get them linux ISO's somehow!)

Pretty good score. I got about 6321 on high res. Didn't do low. Although my P4 2ghz with 256RDRam and a GeForce 4 440 got a 1800 on high res and still played it nicely.

well... your system blows away my lowly A64 3200+ with Geforce 6800nu....

Well, not really. I believe FFXI is more processor intensive then anything else. It relies very, very heavily on the processor.

might be why i didn't score as high as i could have.... had F@H runnin' full bore at the same time....

it says it wasnt able to set the cookie in my system.. i have cookies enabled ????

search the web for it i had the same problem going to benchmark soon

any ideas on the cookie problem?
