driver problem

Ok, so i was playing a game yesterday when the power went out. i wait for the power to come back on and start the pc, it starts up fine but my internet was still down so i decide to play some hl2 in offline mode but steam wouldnt let me for some reason.

This is where it gets messed up, i try to start counter strike source just to see what steam would say and the game starts to load, then it hangs and my pc restarts on it own. now when i try to play any game or video the pc just freezes and reboots.

Now my internet is back up. after it restarts from a crash i do the report error thing and it says its the nvidia driver, i was using 77.77 at the time so i uninstall, use driver cleaner pro, install the 78.01 driver and nothing has changed.

I got the latest bios and chipset drivers but that didnt help either.

Did you get a power surge across your card maybe? Does it do this in any other 3d game? Maybe try the card in another system.

ps WELCOME TO THE FORUMS
