I click on [Half-Life Team fortress and any other HL1 Based game] and the window comes up saying starting up tfc...then it goes to a black screen where a white fade comes over the screen...it looks like theres scan-lines through it too. and some wierd looking marks tthat look as if paint was thrown over the screen...once its white it then redoes this fade into black and remains as black.

Deleted hl1 and shared engine games folder.
Took screenshot and it shows the menu screen but cannot see himself
