He asked me to make something for him and he gave me the mats and the money so i did ( it was like 50s some low lvl like lvl 40 stuff) anyway i made it but i had terrible lag at the time. he did too he said. we couldn't get the trade box to work so i just mailed it to him.

Think its done?

NOPE

it takes about an hour for it to be recieved so the next day i log on and i have like 50 mails saying. WTF im reporting you and all these swear words blah blah blah. I guess somehow with all the lag the items never got there.

I responded that i would make the items again FOR FREE (since im lvl 60 and its barely any money out of my pocket). he says F YOU to me and says hes going to report me.

I dont want a bad rep with wow. you think they will do anything? why would i try to scam 60s? lol i have hundreds of gold what is 60s gonna do for me. anyway if wow people do ask hopefully i will tell them just that and tell them it was lagging really bad.

hell i even offered to make the items for free again for him and he still reports me even though he told me that he was lagging TOO.........

Yeah, just don't worry about it dude. I doubt you'll get in trouble for 'scamming' some lvl 40 guy out of 60 silver. imo, you put in a lot more hours to get 60 (and, therefore, more months/monthly payments) than some lvl 40 guy. Blizz would prolly give him a problem for wasting their time with a report before they give you any trouble.

So... did he ever recieve the item? If so, I see no reason for him to be such an asshat about it. It's not like 60s is that big a deal for a lvl 40 either, he should have some decent cash at that level too. /shrug

I doubt Blizz will do much about it. Worst I can see happening is that they send you a tell in game and ask about it or send an email to you. They do have a chat log, and can track emails in game... so I'm sure they can look and see exactly what happened.

Blizz wont do anything the only thing he can do really is give you a bad rep by spamming stff about you in the towns....I wouldnt worry about it though.

I once heard a guy was mad at an enchanter and wanted him money back because the glow on his weapon was bright enough or something lol some people just like to cause drama i think :p

Honestly myself, I think blizzard should stay out of the affairs of the players in some cases. They want to create an immersive world where players can get lost. Well, if a player happens to bring his stupidity with him, and gets scammed by a smarter player, you cant help but just go "....well, its his own fault for being so stupid"

Note to the OP: Dont worry about it, you are completely in the right on this matter. All the evidence you have presented to us show that you did everything you could, and went above and beyond what you had to do.

My philosophy: Why the hell worry about it, WoW GMs don't do but tell everyone they can't do anything anyway! They even have to refer cases to "item specialists," etc.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry. There are many more level 40s than 60s and if anything, you probably have a much more known and reputable name. If some level 40 told me this, I'd laugh at him and then ride away.

Remember, he=angsty noob.

At worst, he got ripped off of fake money in a fake world so he should probably get over it. If you offered to make it again for him for free it doesn't even sound like he has a real reason to be angry.

I'd just ignore him, what are they going to do? Throw you in WoW jail?

Since u know the item is going to get to him i would too do...

/ignore

the best thing to ever happen to blizzard :D

Like the title eluded to, the reason this guy is doing this is becasue he's an idiot! LOL Avoid idiots. Put them on ignore, or use the game to suck the lifeforce out of them, gang up with other players and take him out, or whatever it takes. If he wants to be an a--hole, show him what happens. That's real easy. I know this, guys on the Lock On Servers don't last too long with an attitude like that. Instead of gettiong shot down 1v1, they usually end up 1v4 (1 vs 4) and instead of using guns like gentlemen, they'll just splash these loosers with a AMRAAM. LOL

Don't worry about his threats. They are hollow. If he knows better, he won't bother the admins, they will just ban him if he wastes their time.

No, he means WoW Jail...

which is an interesiting concept: If you commit a virtual crime and are caught by another player like a cop, you get sent to "virtual jail" untill you either post bail, or someone posts bail for you, or serve your time. Minor offenses are a few minutes-hours, BIG offenses(like killing your own clan mates, or murdering n00bs or whatnot) gets you a day or two in the slammer...

That'd be pretty cool for a MMO to work in.

I would just send him the money even if he got the item or not, what was it 50s or something like that? Either way just send it to him and if he /w you anything nasty just use the good ol' /ignore.

People like this guy ruin the game, but you will find idiots like this in ALL games. If he does report you I seriously doubt you will get in trouble, and don't worry about your rep, usually the people screaming and whinning make themselves look bad, and in this case that is what he will do to himself, he will look like a asshat.

It's amazing how people take games to seriously these days, especially MMO’s.

Yes, and there is a reason...

Some of these games take alot of practice, and alot of work just to get into them. The guy is worried about his rep, because he has spent a long time building it up.

It's the same way with LOMAC I was talking about. People don't need some punk coming into a game server and causing a crap storm.

I have flown alot of missions the last month or so in LOMAC. These things take planning, memorization of flight plans, practice in combat maneuvering, evasion tactics, study of weapons and when to best use them, and you have to come up with a strategy.

It only takes one idiot to come and cheat, and ruin a whole war. Stupid stunts like using "stealth planes" (planes invisible to the rest of the players), or dumb moves like shooting planes on the ground (illegal on most servers becasue they don't stand a chance), or using weapons that have been expressly deemed illegal by the admin.

People who do that stuff don't last. They may create havoc for a short time, but others in the game/simulation *will* take them out. If they want to act like a fool, they'll get treated like one.

It's no different than it is on this forum. ALmost everyone here has seen the troublemakers. The troublemakers get warned and banned.

I wouldn't worry about this guy. His ramblings are nothing but hollow threats. The wizzards of the server will ban him if he wastes their time. People who take the time to run servers, and moderate them, don't have time for lies and BS.

Well people take it seriously for a few reasons...but WoW has MUCH more serious problems.

In WoW, you're quite dependant upon other players. This means that it's really easy to get ****ed over by somebody you trusted to let them into your party. For example:

Player A wants a certain item that drops
Player B has no need for the item but takes it to go sell it on the AH or just out of pure greed.

Don't sweat it, GMs really don't give a **** about trivial crap like that. 60s is a friggin quest reward at lvl 40. What GMs do care about is stuff like HUGE 120 man alliance raids on Horde Cities where the GM has to summon a guardian of blizzard (can't be killed, super powerful) to kill everybody off in order to have the horde side playing. Vicious Cycle (best guild on my server and arguably one of the best in the game) held Orgrimarr (largest horde city) hostage for 36 hours, basically killing EVERYBODY inside and killing the guards and patrols so horde had to either leave or die. GMs didn't break that up, but they usually have MUCH more important matters to clear up.
