As someone else said: you get what you pay for. I bought a cheap one from a local store and it burned out on me in a little over a year. I bought a brand-name dremal, and it's much better and so far is oulasting the old one.

I've got 2, both have been used a lot and one of ems pretty old, still going strong, the others basically used but got it new recently...
They're quality tools and the extra amount you spend pays off in the long run...
