best OS for gaming

XP
XP x64
2003 server
2003 server x64
2003 server enterprise edition

oh, which shall i choose

PS x64 has bad drivers, as proved by my experience playing FEAR (i had a raise in 40 fps when reverting from 64bit to 32bit)

I found that XP pro is best(IMO). Like you said, 64bit right now doesnt have the best drivers.
If you need to run server stuff then 2003 I guess would be better.

Of those choices, XP probably. 2003 is more of a server os than a gaming os. 2K plays some games that XP doesn't, and vice versa... but most games will work on any of them.

Several months ago, I tried running an OpenGL game w/ Server2003 running a Radeon 9200 card, it said that card wasn't compatible w/ Server2003 for running OpenGL. It gave me a microsoft website with a list of about 5 compatible cards, so definetely not Server2003 for running games. Definetely XP Pro 32bit.

Win XP Pro, with your choice of service packs and other goodies.

If you have the drivers, then X64 is the fastest.
