put both in, if you can and see which one will clock better, thats the only way to find out. Its like some 3000+ clock better than 3200+ you have to play with each to find out.

other user findings say both will do 3000mhz but the 0536 needs about 1.6v and the 0540 needs about 1.55v to hit 3000mhz. So i hope u can cool thies puppies.

Go with the 146. These are consistently doing very well. I have a CABYE 0540 and I'm currently trying to stabilize 3 GHZ on air.

I just got a 148, same stepping and week, I have a XP-90 w/ a 90mm tornado full blast. I'm at 2840Mhz stable w/ 1.55V on my ultra D mobo. I'm running 299x9.5 and mem is on 5/6 @ 249 or so 1T 1.5-2-2-4. Temps are idle at 38'C and load 50'C. But it will not boot at 2850, I think I need that 1.6v on it and some better cooling. Good luck.

I should say i did get it to boot at 2850 but with different memory timings, however, prime95 failed after 20 minutes. And due to temps i didnt want to go higher with the voltage. So I stopped there and shot for the highest ram divider/fsb I could get and maintain stability 2800-2840.

I have a strong feeling that a lot of you don't realize how much of an affect that the LDT multi, and the memory dividers have. I have been playing with those, and lowering my CPU multi more than anything else.

You guys need to stabilize high HTT first, and then play with the higher CPU frequencies. Anything after about 2800mhz can be affected by the mobo... I can't break 343htt (x9 on my 144) without using the 2.0x LDT.

Well an LDT of 3x should let u run up to 333 HTT, g-man, your at 343, so that explains why you 2x LDT. However I am running at 299HTT, at 300HTT and 3xLDT, that is only 900Mhz, not 1000Mhz like the default for the cpu and mobo. I can turning it down anyways, but how much is that goin to hurt performance?
