http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2129Pick another black wire, cut if and connect it to the common wire on your stop/tail lamp.
Pick a red wire and connect it to the stop (21W) section of your stop/tail lamp
Pick a yellow wire and connect it to the tail (5W) section of your stop/tail lamp
Make sure all the joints are insulated properly.
It acts as a minimum load to stabilise the power supply, they dont like having no load at all. It also makes the output voltages more accurate as the internal regulator has got something to do. You could use resistors, but the lamp is easy to get and does the job well.Skyler

Did you do this?

it could be either too little load on it or too much. are you turning it on with the charger connecteD? if so try without, if not try getting a load on it, like a few old HDDs or similar. ive had a few PSUs that wont stay on unless there was a considerable load on them (4 hard drives and some fans)

Ive got 20 10 watt resistors on it.Ive tryed with and without my charger on it.I do have a old hard drive I could try. Then thats so unusalble im not going to bring a HD with me to the races with me lol.I have trys some fans though and the resistors and I even hooked it to a motor and everything just glitches on then off.

BirdManJR,
You run JR gear? I know this is off topic, but I don't get to see fellow RC'ers very much around. Hit me up on a PM. I run JR air gear. I'm into the aerobatics and can give you some links to where some guys have setup these PSU's for chargers before.

I will say this. It's really alot better to get an AC to DC power supply rated for those chargers. They are VERY finnicky about the voltage and the amperage. I've seen some horror stories. I'm also sponsored by a battery company, and know how expensive competition packs are, and how expensive those high end chargers are also.

I'm into Li Ion's and Li Po's, and know alot about that kind of thing. I also have used NiCd's and NiMh's also. None of those high end batteries are cheap, nor are the chargers for them.

Yea I run JR radios on my trucks.I run NiMh right now and yes the packs are very expensive.Ima be out and about today so ima see if I can find one for a good price (cosco).Im not into planes at all but if you want a forums for rc www.rcuniverse.com is where I go.I go as -That0neguy-.The people there are great and very helpfull.I pretty much gave up on this PSU cuase I dont want to fry my charger (DTX ICE).

Yeah, that ICE is just a wee bit expensive. hehe I have a Triton for my Li Po's, but use the Duralite on my big stuff. I'm into the large scale aerobatic stuff. In fact, this winter I got some building to do. hehe
