Changed Ram And Having Difficulties to Boot

I was running a pair of Patriot PDP 2 GB i borrowed, now i bought a pair of mushking xtreme perfomance 2GB link now when i boot it says "cmos checksum error" press F1 to continue or DEL to enter set up.
I press F1 to continue, then boots into windows fine and everything stable, now when i go back and reboot i get a black screen and have to clear the cmos again. Is anything i'm missing?

Are you following the correct procedure to clear the CMOS?
  • Power off and remove the Powe chord
  • Set the CMOS Jumper to the Reset position and remove the battery
  • Wait for 30 min and rebverse these steps
  • Turn on, goto the BIOS, save Optimized Defaults and exit
  • Now proceed with saving new settings

Good Luck!

wait are u using both the patriot PDP and the mushkin extreme? if you're only using one of them, try putting them in a different slot. It happened with my Rosewill PC3200 256x2. Couldn't figure it out for 4 days. If you're using both that might be the problem. sry didnt see that the patriot sticks were borrowed

This board is really picky i did what you told me and worked, I'm just running the mushkin's as i've heard the board has issues with 4 sticks. I will not do another DFI too many problems so far. I'm running a opty at 2.8 Ghz default vcore. I'm shooting 3 Ghz now

after loading optimized defaults you need to restart windows, and it should say dmi pool update success, then you can power down and go at it.
