I have a home network with the following configuration. All the computers are running Windows XP Home SP2.
1 Gaming computer
1 work computer + LTP Printer (shared)
1 laptop docking station
All of the above are connected by ethernet cable to a microsoft router that is connected to the internet by a cable modem.
I want to add a DVR I built, but it will be in another room (about 50 ft but two floors down about as far away as it could be and still be inside the house.) and I will sometimes have another computer that needs an internet connection that will be in the same room as the three above but too far to stretch a cable for extended periods. (I suppose I could just run a longer cable around the edges of the room)
The bottom line is that I need a wireless solution but I am only savvy enough to build a wired network. And there are lots of choices out there.
I am thinking I would like to replace the wired router with a router that will accept both several wired ethernet and several wireless connections. It would be nice to stream video and music from the DVR to the rest of the network and to control the DVR from another computer.
I know I need 802.11g
Some of the computers are gigabit Lan capable but all are at least 100 Mbps
Is 108 Mbps enough for the router or should I look for 125?
Can I use a USB 2.0 adapter on the DVR, or is a PCI card better?
If I go all wireless, will online gaming suffer?
I am looking at these parts. Any comments welcome.

I am not sold on US Robotics but they seem to be the only ones offering 125Mbps. If 108 Mbps is good enough, I know there are more choices.
