The EPOX EP-9NPA+ is a great board but has a noisy little chipset cooler that is certain to annoy sensitive users.

I'm looking to replace the chipset HSF with either

This or

This

The system will be using an Opteron 170 with a Scythe SCNJ-1000 Ninja HSF. Opinions regarding these chipset coolers, experiences with chipset coolers and clearances using this board with the ninja, or suggestions of alternatives available from SVC would be appreciated.

The first one looks pretty cool. Maybe a bit much, but hey, if it cools your nb down, then thats whats important

Thanks for the input, Vio1. I did decide to go with the first one (coolermaster). My main goal here is to reduce the noise from the stock HSF while maintaining a reasonable heat level with a modest O/C.

I'll post back after I've installed it and let you know how it works.
