My setup is in my signature. I went with the best parts I could afford and made sure all the important stuff was top notch. :santa:

Just wanted to report what my results are thusfar, and I will continue updating as I improve the cooling. :cool:

11/17/05 - Stock AMD PIB Heatsink/Fan and Arctic Silver 5 TIM
100% Prime95/3DMark05 Stable Settings
Stock: 1.35V - 2200MHz (200*11X) - RAM 400MHz 1T/2-3-3-5 (2.6V)
Baseline: 1.35V - 2400MHz (219*11X) - RAM 438MHz 1T/2-3-3-5 (2.6V)
Moderate: 1.425V - 2600MHz (260*10X) - RAM 442MHz 1T/2-3-3-5 (2.7V)
Maximum: 1.55V - 2667MHz (267*10X) - RAM ~400MHz* 1T/2-3-3-5 (2.6V)
*Lowered Divider in favor of maintaining fast timings.
Bootable, but unstable maximum (Prime95 Core0-1op/Core1-3ops) prior to error.
Maxiumum: 1.58V - 2800MHz (280*10X)

It appears that one of the cores is slightly more resilient than the other as shown in Prime95 torture testing.

Arriving next week is a Swiftech STORM which should help me push things further without seeing temperatures that make me hesitant. :)
 
Looking good! :thup: 2.6GHz at 1.425 volts is very nice. You got a pretty god couple of cores their. I know you want to see how far you can take it, but I would be very happy to run at that 2.6 on modest voltage. I doubt that you can gain any noteworthy amount of performance pushing it higher.
 
Wow, I didn't think the new ASUS board would OC that well, it's actually pretty good compared to the former ASUS Preminum. Plus all that is on stock cooling, doing great.
 
Yeah, the Asus is a beast! Most reviewers have set their FSB records using this thing, and the 8 Phase Power is unleashing even more headroom from chips they thought they'd maxed out. :cool:

Most people can get a stable 300MHz FSB, and yes, there are options to overvolt the north and southbridge chipsets, as well as the HT bus. RAM voltage options upto 3.2V I believe, and CPU voltage upto 1.875V if you feel like breaking something. :p
 
Nice OC with volts like that and just stock cooling I'm sure you could go much further if you got a nice CPU hs and raise the volts a whee bit. On my 3500+ that clock is very nice, pair that with dc and you have yourself quite a machine.
