Okay, my system specs are in my sig, but to sum them up:

DFI Ultra-D
7800gtx
3700+ Sandy (am hoping to get 2.8 out of it)
1GB UTT Mushkin XP4000 Redline
Case: (and part of problem) Antec P180

What I still need to buy:

Pump, Radiator, GPU Block, Tubing, Fans

What I am thinking:

Pump: Swiftec MCP655
Radiator: Blackice Pro II
GPU: Maze 4
Tubing: 7/16'' Mastakleer (or whatever spelling)
Fans: 2x120mm Panaflo fans - probably the medium one (with like 30dB on high)

Do you think that this will be okay? I was thinking about mounting the fans and radiator underneath the top of the case, and possibly using the already formed blowhole as part of the area to blow through for the radiator.

Any opinions? I need to know as soon as possible please.

That looks like it will be similar to what I have right now. I still have 50c+ temps with my 4400@2.6 / 1.6v. Imagine if I was using anything less. Stock is 30/38 idle/load.

P.S. I would get high CFM fans and a controller so that you have the option of turning it up

I've been thinking very much lately of adding water to my new system, which is finally coming online on Monday. Like you, I've got it all stuffed into a P180, will be cooling a 3700+ San Diego (for the time being, at any rate), but "only" a 7800GT.

For my part, I found Swiftech's H20-120 Premium kit mentioned the other day on Anandtech, and further investigation led me to their MCRES-1000 reservoir assembly. It may not be the penultimate solution out there, but it makes a nice, neat 5.25" solution integrating a pump and reservoir. It's designed to accept the MCP350/DDC pump and can apparently sit behind some fan controllers.

So with knowledge of that little gizmo in mind, I gutted out the upper HDD area: both the cage and it's mounting plates were removed. I have it on good authority that Swiftech's MCR120 will fit into that area with the plates removed. The same user also posted a dual-120mm rad setup that fits into the space here.

A solution like that (which I am currently investigating) should fit, cool sufficiently (Swifttech claims that their 120mm rad will handle an X2 and two G70s in SLI), and leave you with two exhaust fans without extraneous crap hanging off. Obvious downside is that you lose two HDD mounts, if you've got more than four drives.

I can't believe you are getting 50C+ temps. My XP-90 with my panaflo (90mm) is getting me mid-upper thirties under load @ around 1.6V

The most important part of my project is for near-quiet operation. I don't want to add any fans that will make more than a subtle whisper, but I want it to be quiet and cool, which could stand to be the problem. My reasoning for choosing my Panaflo fans is because the 90mm on my heatsink is a subtle murmur compared to my loud chipset fan.

I don't have one of there new rads but I highly doubt that it will cool all that because I was using the Swifttech 120 rev3. on my 754 2800 @ like 2.4 and it would get to mid 50's. It would possible cool all that stock within spec but not how most of us would like, and who would pay $150+ to run their system stock?

What would you recommend changing then to be able to cool my graphics card and processor (water) and I will try the vantec iceberg idea for the NB. Should I get a better pump? I am trying to do this for fairly cheap though, so I don't want to spend another $200 to do this, the cheaper the better. I would like to get a decent OC out of my hardware though.

Your equipment looks good to me, though the Black Ice Extreme is a little thicker therefore has less resistance... I don't know a whole lot about pumps, I just thought that the MCP-655 and the Storm were the things to get to get so thats what I went for myself but I started a thread saying that I though that an upgrade from a modded mcp-350 to a mcp-655 and from a swifttech 6000 to a storm didn't quite produce the results that I was looking for.

I would ditch the UTT ram, your asking for trouble with high voltage either get a nice set of TCCD ram or invest in a nice set of 2gig pc4000 ram

He already has the ram . Its the WC components that is looking for advice on.

oh okay, i misunderstood. From what I understand the BIPII is better for lower-pressure and quieter setups while the BIXII is better for higher-cfm fans and therefore a louder system. That is my entire reasoning behind choosing the BIPII.

HUH? Your getting 50°C!!! I am using a XP90 and I very very rarely ever get over 40°C under the heaviest load I can toss at it. Sometimes I run 270. Othertimes I run faster. Depending on my mood. My onboard shows 2°C lower than the probes. I post temps per the probes. So my onbord would be never exceeeding 38°C under heavy load. I consider heavy load as more than a few minutes of load. Like 4+ hours.

I haven't had any problems with the RAM I currently have. It runs perfectly, on the other hand I wish that DFI didn't have the occasional cold boot issue though.

I would think that you would want less resistance in the loop either way... You supposedly need a fan with more pressure to push through the extreme. I am suprised more people are not chiming in...
