Hey everyone,

I am planning a nice little build here but would like to know what you guys think. I can buy basiacally all of this stuff at a local PC shop or they will order it for me, heres what ive decided on so far.

All prices are in CAD (canadian money)

K im going to setup a system similar to yours on NCIX... best canadian computer building company by far...

Get something better and save the money for a vid card...

And whats your price range?

i will look 4 cheaper case need be.

budget around 1300$ cad

btw im on a psp :D
 
the venice 3200 is good choice since. if you want you could probably go for the 3000 and save some money. for the gfx card i would recommend getting the c3d x800gto which is easily flashable. what are the prices of those 6800gt's? i would just settle for the gto if the 6800gt's cost more.
 
Go for eVGA 6800GT, but then the GTO2 can flash and clock pretty well.

Might want to consider the 7800GT for $299 USD, should be around the same when converted to CND.

IS that 1300 for the rig and youll by that monitor there later on cause thats one helluva buy...
 
I'm not really sure about budget but I know i cant go much over $1300.

WHat do you guys think of this card for the system:

EVGA E-GEFORCE 6800GS 256MB PCI-E 270$ Canadian

Whats the diference between the GS and the GT?

Also this card beats a X800 GTO right? BUt I think the GTO2 would beat it cuz of the overclockability.

I would downgrade that case if I were you. Spending that kind of money on a case only to sacrifice in performance is a waste in my opinion, Sure the case is a real looker and it dose provide many good features, but an Antec, Coolermaster, etc... will serve the purpose at a lower price.
 
I found that case for 149 Canadian at a local PC shop so ill get it there i just didnt change the price in the list yet. I think thats a real bargain.

Video cards anyone?
 
im not getting 6800 GTs they are too expensive, its either the eVGA 6800GS or the X800 GTO which ones better?
 
Well I just read a few reviews and the GS is the victor. OK its all settled now i just gotta get the money :D BTw anyone know a good tutorial with pictures on putting pc together?
