what to do if your cd key was stolen

hello all.......
the other day i wanted to play bf2. i was outta the bf2 loop for a couple of months and i just did a windows install so i had 2 reinstall bf2. after installing the game and the latest patch i was greeted with the error "invalid cd key" everytime i joined a server. i checked out EA'a site and found that the new patch reset your cd key, no problem ill just put it in again and it will work right? wrong! it still says i have an invalid cd key

does this mean my cd key is on some black list or something......did someone else steal my cd key? has anyone ever recieved a new cd key when theres was stolen

Did you call EA up by chance?

Call EA, or e-mail them. They will require proof of purchase (such as a picture of your CD case).

They should then send you a new key.
