My XFX 7800GT OC numbers seem to be low.

I don't understand what's going on with this card. From what I've been reading about the 7800GT cards this should be able to go higher than 480/1070, right? Anything over that and my 3DMark scores start to drop, which means I've reached my max OC, right?

My GPU temp according to my thermal controller is 31C and according to RivaTuner it is 32C. So, I'm kinda doubting that it's a thermal throttling issue. Is it possible that I just have a card that sucks, or am I expecting too much from it?

Oh, and stock numbers are 450/1050.

My best 3DMark03 score was 17,141. I got ****ed off and didn't run 3dMark05.

This is from PC Wizard-

GPU Configuration :
2D Core : 275 MHz
2D Memory : 1070 MHz
3D Performance Core : 480 MHz
3D Performance Memory : 1070 MHz
3D Reduced Power Core : 450 MHz
3D Reduced Power Memory : 1070 MHz
Anti Aliasing Mode : OFF
Frames Buffered : 3
ForceWare Version : 6.14.10.8195
Technology SLi Enabled : No

Video Bios Information :
Date : 07/15/05
Version : Version 5.70.02.13.12

I noticed that the Forceware Version and Video BIOS version are different. Could that be a problem, or is that normal?

Forceware version is the version of your driver -- no problems there.

If you're on stock cooling you might consider updgrading, even though temps seem fine. If you've upgraded cooling, do the BIOS volt mod from XS forums. Just search for it -- it worked for me!

BTW, that is a little low for a 7800GT, but I've heard that a lot of the XFX cards flat out suck for overclocking.

Here's the link: 1,5 Volts with biosmod on 7800gt is possible!
