Which Card? and PCI-E or AGP?

Okay, so I built a new computer, and I'm selling it on eBay. I kind of want a new video card, I have a powercolor radeon x700, overclocked a little bit. With the money, I wanted to buy a bunch of stuff, but now I'm thinking I may just want a new video card, I'm not sure what I should get though, a few of my friends just switched to PCI-E, and they're games run great, my games run awesome, I just want them to run even better now. I know PowerColor, is a second hand option, so it isn't as good as an ATI X700.

But what are the best AGP cards out there? I'm looking somewhere between $200-500. Or should I just convert to PCI-E with that money?

It's up to you, if you want to spend the extra money for skt939, then go for it, if not, stick with a new AGP card and add more ram. I doubt you'll see a huge difference in going for skt939, unless you get dual cores and a 7800GTX.

$200-$500 is a huge price range for an AGP card, but $500 isn't enough for a whole new system to show noticeable benefits over your current one. I'd just say grab a 6800GT for $200-$250, and get 2x1GB of ram with the rest of the money.

But if you do want a new system, go for a $110 DFI LP Ultra-D, $200 eVGA 6800GS, and $325 left for an Opteron 165, that's a tad over budget, but still good.

If you’re contemplating a new build, go with pci-e. If you are looking for a new card for an existing system, the most economical choice would be to use the type of card which is compatible with said system.
