2x256mb and 1x512mb

this is viable right? 2x256mb and 1x512mb, i want dual channel, but its a budget rig, emphasis on budget. So for now i was thinking of getting 2 256's and then getting a 512 when ive got the money.

This might be a stupid question but i always have used 2x512's and I'm just making sure

yes, that will maintain dual channel. Put them in the proper slots.

What happened to RAM compatability? or am i mistaken?
