F@H Spotlight #7

This is the 7th in the series of T32 Spotlights! I'll continue to interview members when given a chance. The interviews will appear in a spotlight every now and then as long as the nominations keep coming in! For how to go about nominating a fellow folder, please go to THIS THREAD. To see the ever growing list of who has been interviewed and the expected date of the next spotlight, please go to THIS THREAD.

This is a guy that is very mysterious. Similar to Emperor Palpatine, only a select few seem to be able to get in on his private circle and know anything at all about him. He is so mysterious, that his was and is so far the shortest/quickest interview of the bunch.

**He is a Jedi After all...get's right to the point he does...

Voodoo Rufus

When did you join the Team?

I joined roughly in 2003.

If there was something recent that you did that you wanted your fellow
teammembers to know about, what would it be?

What I'd like everyone to know is the use of Wedo's One Click.

What is your EOC (extremeoverclockers) stats link?

My EOC
So where do ya happen to live at?
I live in Hollister, California.

How did you initially hear about F@H?

I heard about Folding through this forum and the Overclockers.com main page.

After starting, why do you continue to Fold?

I continue to fold in order to keep my computer doing something useful as a community service. And competing in Team 32 is a matter of pride.

What do you do for a living?
For a living, currently job hunting for an entry-level aerospace or mechanical engineering job. If you know of any, please let me know!

What do you do for fun?

I love the outdoors, I like to hike/backpack, water/snow ski, drive cars on twisty two lane roads, fly gliders/sailplanes, read about all things vehicular (starting to get interested in motorcycles), and tweak my computer for maximum performance on minimum cost. I also enjoy martial arts, specifically Hapkido. I'd like to learn Judo and ken-jutsu as well. I am active in Scouting as an Assistant Scoutmaster, and am an Eagle Scout. I also have intermediate skill in Kendo as well. Lastly, I have been reading and learning about speaker design, and plan to build and design my own kits someday. I should finish my first one this month.

Is there anything special you do in your spare time that you really enjoy?

Same as what I do for fun.

Time to spill your guts. What are the stats of your main folding rig?
Why is it your fave? What all do you use the rig for?

Main FAH rig stats: See sig. I use it for browsing, chatting, OCing and some gaming.

**See... more of that mysterious Jedi stuff.... I guess if ya wanna see his rig's stats, then ya gotta go look him up on the forums, and that i'll leave up to you, the reader.

Do you have a Borg-Farm? If so, how many computers, and what are they?

Other machines of mine that fold: Athlon XP Palomino 1466, 256MB PC133 ram.

What are your future goals? What do you most want to accomplish with
your life?
I want to make my own little positive dent on the world, through engineering. I would prefer to work on designing jet engines, though working as an engineer on a Formula One team would kick serious butt too.

If there is something you want to tell the team, then spill your guts!
What have I missed in my questions that could help the team learn more about you and who you are?

Words to the team: Borg On!!!

Thanks again for the interview Voodoo, and best of luck to ya in finding a good job!

Nice to meet you, VR, and congrats on the green stars too.

If you are looking for a Mech Eng job and aren't afraid to move, you might check and see what the job market looks like on the Gulf Coast. With all the damage that last year's hurricane season has done, I would imagine that there are plenty of opportunities for your skills in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, lower Alabama and Florida.

I recall reading your posts in my earlier days on the fora ... when I was just a consumer of all the great OC and related info here, and i seldom posted. It was folks like you that kept me here which led to me starting to fold ... and now i am an 'addict'. Thanks for all the great work.

And good luck in the job hunt!

Especialy Lousianna it seems. I've heard rumors of even places like Hardee's offering multi-thousand dollar bonuses just to work for them in New Orleons right now.
