Should I upgrade to PCI-E

I have the new civilization and age of empires games but my pc struggles to play them esspecially the civilization game I am looking to buy a new graphics card I want one that will play the latest games and wont need upgrading in the next 12 months or so the card I have at the moment is a GeForce 256 AGP I do not have a PCI-E slot. Below are specs of my pc.
SPDSlot4

SPDSlot2

Memory

MainBoard

CPU

Is it worth selling my PC and building a new one based on PCI-E and if so which road should I go down should I go AMD or Pentium ? I dont want to build one that is currently slower than my current PC so what do you think can someone please advice on there recomended graphics cards, motherboard, cpu & memory combos that they think would work well together ? I mainly use my PC for downloading, encoding video files, burning DVD`s, playing games, surfing the net and just general PC use.

You might want to stick with what you have for now...add another 512MB of system memory ($80ish on eBay for another set of TWINX512-3200C2 and get a new AGP card...I'd recommend X850XT-PE ($400 or so). If you want to spend about half of that to save more for a future upgrade, pick up the X850 Pro. If you want to go all out and build a new system, let me know what your budget is and which parts you plan to reuse from your current build, and I'll try to recommend something.

my $.02
a PE card is not worth the money
They are basicly factory overclocked and you can often get XT cards withe the same memory on them.

Yeah, but, judging from the screenshots, this guy doesn't overclock his hardware. Even the RAM is left at 2.5-3-3-6 when it's rated for CAS2 by the manufacturer (though not in the SPD for some reason). The PE isn't much more expensive than the XT non-PE now anyway, so my recommendations still stand, depending on his budget. I'll also throw in the suggestions of 6600GT 128MB ($150) and 6600 128MB ($100) if he wants to save even more money and still have performance far superior to the Geforce256.
