I say go for G.Skills too. They are clocking pretty nicely.

I have this one in my Xeon dullie running 220MHz 2.5-3-3-8-1t. My Newegg review is there too. Third one down at the moment.

CAS 2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ubmit=Property

CAS 2.5: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ubmit=Property

CAS 3: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ubmit=Property

Some of these will be less than PC3200 so keep that in mind.

I have a question about the 2x1GB sets of PC3200. Would a set with lower default timmings like 2-3-2-5 OC better than a set with 3-4-4-8 timings since you can raise/loosen the timing's more for more of an OC.Because if the sticks need to run 3-4-4-8 just to get to DDR400 i would think they wouldnt have much left in them.(i think i answered my own question)I would think the tigher timings would allow a higher OC since you can loosen them.Unlike with the 3-4-4-8 timimg you cant go much looser.I would usally go for the PC4000. But im curious since ive never used a 2x1gb set before and im thinking of going that route

alot fo the 2-3-2 timings @200 are infineon that failed to make the cut for pc4000 so you might get a good overclock, but most likely you'll get around 20mhz out of them (they don't oc any better if you loosen the timings). with the 3-4-4 timings it depends on what chips they are. if they're lesser binned uccc so they might oc ok, if they're something else they probably won't be very good

From what I've heard, with the more recent batches of the gskill from newegg people are having issues (myself included) I cannot push them above stock speed w/ stock timings and voltage.

Maybe try the OCZs.. I havent used them but as I said I have the gskill ES

Try upping your voltage a little bit.

The recent batch of 2x1024 G.Skill DDR500 have not been performing nearly as well as the previous batches.

For these reasons, I ordered this 2gig kit.

Those OCZ use Samsung UCCC (i think). They should clock pretty well, somewhere around the G.Skills.
