Speedfan temp3 reading127c HOT!!

I need some advice here please. First here,s the specs
Chaintech vnf4 ultra mobo
Athlon 3000(was overclocked to 1.9 now back to norm)
1 gig pny ram
128 mg msi 6600gforce
550 Antec true power
80 gig WD Hardrive
I did have the cpu overclocked to 1.9( I had went into bios bumbed bus to 211 mhz and voltage to 1.55v) and the videocard was software overclocked to captain settings (sorry don,t know specs for that)
This rig was built solely to play Battlefield2, after I overclocked it , the game ran like a champ all game settings on high for three weeks in a row, then I started getting some lag and "problem with your connection" msg's. So I went thru the usual, ran spyware and virus detcts every day, looked for updates ETC, still had the problems downloaded a program called "GameXP" . The lag and "Problem with connection " msg's go away( I also uninstalled Game XP and tried to BF2 but the problems came back so reinstalled GameXP and problems went away). Now a day or two after I did this , I would be in the game and all of a sudden I started getting these video artifacts and stuttering. So I suspected that maybe the software overclock on the vid card was starting to wear it out, so I put it back to normal. Play for a whole week no problems, then today I started getting a black screen and then CTD. So I checked out forums and downloaded SpeedFan, ran it reads like this

Temp 1 28c
Temp2 32c
Temp3 127c
Temp 32c
HD0 37c
Temp1 40c

So I unclocked everything and I,m still getting the same reading, cpu temp in bios is around 32c , I did alittle research and the temp 1-3 are chip is "IT8712F" by ITE. And believe it has some thing to with forceware but I,m not sure. My case is an Aspire Xcruise all fans seem to be working fine, the gameBF2 runs for about an hour to two and then it will start CTD , so any ideas would be helpful, I hope I have provided enough information

Temp3 on my system reads 93c, and I have inspected every significant heat-producing element and found nothing. It seems to be the product of my mobo not having whatever sensor it looks for temp3 from, gets a dummy value, and outputs a garbage temperature.

log your cpu and video card temps while gaming, and see if they are problematic. while stress testing your system, place your hand near each heatsink (don't touch, though, because if that temp reading is correct, you'll leave flesh on the sink!) and the exhaust of your psu.

If nothing feels hot, and your system is stable, don't worry about it.

No he has a chaintech mobo.

Mine does that as well.

Your symptoms sound like what happened with me on my NF7 when I pushed the memory too far. What timings and voltages are you using for your ram? What type of PQI memory do you have? If you're using Value Ram that could be your problem. I've seen Value Ram become unstable at 210MHz with any voltage. *Very Annoying.* Set the machine back to 1.9GHz & try running memtest86.

Speedfan tried to interpret a temp sensor that isnt there. I have a sensor that reads 535C. I think I'd know if that sensor was reading that temp properly.

yeah mate, as they said, dont worry
most mobo's dont have enough temp sensors for the amount of readings on speedfan. i got a reading like that too, nothing in the comp, its just a random figure i think.
seems to happen to everyone... dont worry

Such as the timings also?

If you bump the cpu voltage a couple times and there isnt any added stability, then bump up the memory voltage. Short answer, yes.

I posted an axact thread like this about a month and a half ago. Just a glitch in Speedfan since you don't have this third sensor. No worries..

A good coder would notice that 127=(2^7)-1.
