Yesterday and today I noticed some of the large files that I download from a news server would stop and Firefox would tell me the download is complete when it hasn't.

I haven't experienced something like this before, is it a network problem or a sign of system instability?

I experienced the same problem a lot when I was on dial-up, i.e. Firefox telling me downloads were complete even though they were'nt, resulting in corrupt files. No, I don't think it's instability.

anything out of the normal when overclocking can be a sign of instability...large files when downloading are transferred and can travel though system memory causing a crash. if you haven't seen it before and you just started seeing it after an overclock changes are high it is a result.
