Base ten gigabytes does not equal binary gigabytes.
Western Digital says 1GB=1,000,000,000 bytes (as does every HDD maker). As far as the computer is concerned, it's more than that, so to fill 160GB with binary GB it shows as less GB.

In other words, it's perfectly normal. My 160GB Seagate gives me 149GB too.
