Hi,
You can't go too far on the net without hearing about overclocking so after about two years, I've finally decided to buy a few components to build myself a PC for overclocking. The parts are:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 ULTRA-D
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200C2 Pro TwinX
Tagan TG580-U15 580W
Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO² 256MB.

Now that the parts are on their way, I've been reading up a lot on my motherboard, including the manual. My problem is that the more I read, and after visiting dfi-street, the more I feel that maybe this board may be too hardcore for a novice like myself. I've started to think that maybe an Asus or Abit board might not be so full-on. Can anyone give me any advice?

you should be fine. take the time to learn about overclocking.

learn what you can and can't do.

and learn what all those options mean.

Well thats assuming you know a bit about computers in general.

If not.. take the time to learn :)

Hey

Just noticed you're in Dublin! I must moved back to the States from Waterford, after a year of working in the hospital there. Wonderful country, just expensive!!!!

Good luck in your foray into OCing!!
