The NOISE plz stop the noise......

My monitor randomly emits this high pitched sound.

the sound itself is low but VERY high pitched.

i have no clue why its doing this. the sound lasts anywhere from 5 seconds to a minute or 2.

once i turn my monitor off and start it, it sometimes goes away and sometimes comes back.

any ideas?

the screen doesn't seem to be affected though.

Try setting your refresh up or down one notch. It may be that the refresh rate you are running at is supported but not recommended.
