Limits of a PCI-E to AGP Bridge ?

I've got a gf6600, temps are great high 40s... anyways my pci-e to agp bridge chip is hella hot, could its temps be limiting my oc ? or what kinda of limitation would it bring me ?

yeah ive got one on mine already, but it just gets hot :/ oh well i guess.
